This programme evolved across five years of delivering the programme in a variety of settings both face-to-face and online. It is designed for junior doctors (or medical students at the end of training), but could easily be adapted to other healthcare professionals or students (considering in some instances changing images to ones relating more closely to the target group). The programme aims to fit comfortably into 90 minutes, including a few minutes starting late.
The main materials are designed for a secular context; but the movie version included in this resource pack and called “A Present Help in Trouble” adds a Christian dimension.
This programme was previously known as Compassion Without Burnout.
This is an example outline for the programme and should be adapted for your learners and the setting and context you are teaching in.

Based on our Compassion Without Burnout programme this film was recorded from a Global Zoom Webinar which included break out discussions in small groups.
This Compassion Without Burnout Update was provided as part of our PRIME Go Tutor Programme in November 2021.
Before using any of these resources in your teaching please familiarise yourselves fully with the materials and adapt them to suit your learners and your situation.
All PRIME training should be learner centred, interactive, fun, and aimed at the hearts and souls of the participants as well as their minds.
